Pre-Trial Supervision Placement

Pre-Trial Program is set up to help minimize the jail population by determining who is not able to post bond and if they are eligible for supervision by DeKalb County Community Corrections.

Pre-Trial placement is ordered by the sentencing Court. The court will determine if a person is eligible for Pre-Trial release and will issue an Order for Pre-Trial Release. This order will be signed by the Judge and participant. This order will require the participant to:

  1. Be monitored by DeKalb County Community Corrections on Pre-Trial release and IS ORDERED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITHIN THE FIRST 24 HOURS OF BEING RELEASED FROM JAIL. 
  2. You shall follow all terms and conditions of the Pre-Trial program.
  3. You shall notify DCCC and the Court in writing within 48 hours of any change in address, phone number and/or employment. 
  4. You shall appear for all scheduled hearings.
  5. You shall maintain contact and communication at all times with your attorney
  6. You shall not commit a criminal offense for which probable cause is found or operate a vehicle without a valid license. You shall report any arrest or criminal charge to DCCC within 24 hours. 
  7. You shall maintain contact with DCCC as instructed, either telephone or in person

**The Court can also impose any other special condition as seen fit. 

If the participant is not adhering to these conditions, DCCC will file a Notice to the Court informing the Court of the violations. The participant may be arrested or the conditions of Pre-Trial Release can be modified.

Participants will be required to make phone calls into their Supervising Officer as directed at Pre-Trial intake. Phone calls and face-to-face meetings will be required while under Pre-Trial Supervision. It will be the participant's responsibility to make the required phone call to their Supervising Officer for check ins.
