State Road 1 to Close in Butler for Railroad Repairs
S.R. 1 to close for railroad crossing repairs
DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of State Road 1 for railroad construction in Butler.
Starting on or after May 4, Norfolk Southern crews will be repairing the crossing on S.R. 1 between Railroad Street and Willow Street. Work on the crossing is expected to last for one week. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of State Road 8, I-69 and U.S. 6, or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
