Tax Payment Methods
ATTENTION:
Failure to receive tax statement by mail does not relieve taxpayers of their responsibility
for payment and penalties when delinquent.
PAY BY MAIL:
We accept personal checks, cashier’s checks and money orders. Make checks payable to DeKalb County Treasurer.
To ensure accurate posting, please include the appropriate payment coupon(s) for each property.
Payment is considered on time when postmarked by the U.S. Post Office on or before the installment due date.
“Postmarked” does not mean the date printed by a postage meter that affixes postage to the envelope
or package containing a payment per IC 6-1.1-37.10. Returned, delayed, lost, or mis-directed mail may
become delinquent. Please ensure the mailing address is complete and accurate, obtain proof of mailing
date, and use the correct amount of postage. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for a validated
receipt. Otherwise, your cancelled check will serve as your receipt.

for all payments (+3% service fee)
PAY IN PERSON:
The DeKalb County Treasurer’s Office is located in the southeast corner on the second floor of the
County Courthouse in downtown Auburn. Business Hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday.
Please bring your tax notice with you so we may receipt your payment at no charge. We accept cash,
personal checks, cashier’s checks, money orders and credit or debit cards.
There is an additional processing fee for using a card. It is $1.50 for transactions up to $50
and for transactions $50.01 and above it is 3% of the transaction amount.
PAY ONLINE:
Now you have the choice of paying your property taxes online with your credit or debit card.
In association with PayTRUST Solutions we are able to offer you a secure way to conveniently pay your taxes.
A convenience fee is associated with this service.
You will need your parcel number and dollar amount.

To make Credit Card payments or Check payments by phone, call 1-866-480-8552.
You will need your parcel number and dollar amount. A live operator will assist you.
There is an additional processing fee for this service, which will be confirmed by the
operator before the transaction is processed.
